Class of '70 News

Warren Balden is still in the computer field and doing some traveling for business.  His wife Anne is in her second year teaching high school English and SAT tutoring during the summer.  Their children are nearby, either in school or working.

On a sad note, Libby DEAUMER Hathaway lost her husband in April.  His death was a total shock, and she is trying to carry on, as is best possible when dealt such a blow.  Her oldest daughter Heather married in May, which was a happy occasion, and that has kept Libby going.  She is on an emotional roller coaster and probably will be for some time.  To our classmates, especially, but all "BHS-ers," I ask that you keep Libby in your thoughts and prayers so that she soon reaches the point where life is joyous again.  Notes of encouragement would be welcome, I am sure.  Just saying hi can be a tremendous lift.  Those that did not see Libby at the Y2K Kerrville reunion missed seeing a firecracker of a gal - busy and active and totally devoted to her family.

On another sad note, Renee Gantt - Frank Gantt's '70 wife of 34 years - recently advised us that Frank passed away on May 16, 2005 (newscast). Frank, age 55, died shortly after falling from the radio tower at the Air Force tracking station. Investigators said they believe his harness equipment failed while he and a crew were performing routine maintenance on the tower.

Wes Robison, who was found 1n 1993 and “lost” again, has been found again After leaving Bitburg, Wes did a short stint in the army, serving in Germany.  He moved from place to place (PA, Boston, upstate NY, NC, Alabama, and Hilton Head) and finally put down roots in Baltimore.  He has worked as a chef, in hotel management and now sales (I believe from his email address) at Henderson's Wharf/Henderson's Pier (interesting websites).  Wes has three children (all grown) and 5 grandchildren!  (Yes, we have gotten old enough for grandchildren!)  His sisters Jeannie ('72) and Pennie ('74) are both in Fayetteville and doing well.
