Baron Scrioll Fall 2005                                                                                                                                         page 15

Johnny Beamsderfer '66  hurricane survivor, was hit pretty hard by Frances and Jeanne. Johnny says he had to move 7 times in 5 weeks and lost almost everything, including his sanity.  “Thank God for friends and family.”  He was married for 14 years but is now divorced, has two great kids, and is proud to report that he’s not a grandpa at 56.

Johnny works at QVC/St Lucie, internet customer service, and says the typing classes at BHS didn't go to waste.  He is still a "Professional" musician after all these years. He would “love to hear from Dana Henricks, and Pete McDermott.  Lots of folks, actually!”

Alan is the guitar player with the shorter hair, and his twin brother Albert is our drummer.  I'm the guy with the gray beard and the hat.  Richard Mac is the guitar player with the long hair. He played for 3 years with Cindy Lauper in the mid-70's, but we have all done notable gigs.  I don't know if any of our classmates knows of Gary Stewart, but he was a Fort Pierce guy, and I played with both him and his 2 drummer brothers over the years.  Sad story there.....

The drummer and I have been playing together for over 25 years, in different bands.  Every time we talk, we find out other gigs we've done together, and forgotten!!  I feel privileged to be Albert and Alan's honorary brother, all Virgo's.  We are tight. We've been playing together for a long time in different connections, but still kick ass.

I'd rather be a has-been than a wannabe.  Been a fun ride over the last 40 years.

Gonna keep it up as long as God wills.
