Sue's Safari to South Africa

Suzanne (Sue) Weeks Hanson ’67, Roster Manager

 

Sue has been a travel agent for the past 23 years.  About 13 years ago she started putting together groups of friends to travel together all over the world.  Her travels have taken her and her groups on cruises of the Norwegian Fjords, Canary Islands, Tahiti, New Zealand & Australia and the Caribbean, and several cruises to Greece along with several river cruises in Europe.  She has also organized and led tours to Kenya & Tanzania, Egypt, China and this summer to South Africa.

 

This summer 16 people went on a 15-day tour of South Africa including game drives in Kruger National Park.  The enclosed photos show some of the “close” encounters they had with the animals on those drives.

There is nothing scarier than having angry elephants approaching when your jeep has a flat tire AND it’s on a 45-degree incline. (Gerry & Sue are in the front seats.)
Text Box: Sue Hanson has been a vital part of our association since it’s inception over 15 years ago. In 1987 she became the ‘67 Class Rep.  Reunion Coordinator for our 1991 reunion in Phoenix. Reunion Coordinator in Las Vegas in 1997. Assisted Bill Wiehl with the 1994 Florida reunion.  She has served as Vice President and President. She currently manages our roster & is also a Board member.

These guys are facing us as the tire is being changed!
